| 30th Anniversary Celebration & Conference |
| Gateway Chapter Celebration Was Entertaining, Informative. |
About 100 members signed up for the 30th Anniversary Celebration and Spring Conference held at the Casino Queen Hotel and Casino in East St. Louis April 10. We enjoyed four fabulous speakers, were entertained by a very funny humorist, and honored a number of our past presidents. We also took time to share a very good dinner and enjoy the company of friends and associates. |

| All four of our speakers were excellent. They included Dennis Rocheleau, chief negotiator for General Electric Co.; Daniel "Duke" McVey, President Emeritus of the Missouri State Labor Council, AFL-CIO; Dr. Gladys Gruenberg, President Emeritus of St. Louis University and an arbitrator and mediator; and Dr. Paul Sultan, President Emeritus of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Craig Hawksley, a St. Louis-based humorist, delighted everyone with his tremendous wit. Craig acted as our emcee. His impersonation of St. Louis Cardinals announcer Mike Shannon was absolutely hilarious.
Nine past presidents and our current president were on hand, and each was acknowledged and presented a certificate of appreciation. The association presented commemorative coffee cups and book marks to those in attendance.
Thanks to all those who made our event possible, especially Ed Harrick, Program Chair.
For those of you who were unable to attend the conference, printed speeches will be made available on this site as they become available.
